A sentir la Repubblica e Il Giornale il mistero dell'Agenda Rossa è risolto. Si trovava accanto al corpo di Paolo Borsellino.
"Anziché mostrare interesse e speranza per la scoperta di un video d’archivio che immortala l’introvabile «agenda rossa» di Paolo Borsellino sotto un’auto in via d’Amelio (poco dopo l’attentato del 19 luglio 1992) i professionisti indomiti dell’antimafia militante corrono a sollevare dubbi e distinguo. " Scrive Il Giornale.
"L'AGENDA rossa di Paolo Borsellino era lì dove avrebbe dovuto essere. A terra, integra, accanto al corpo carbonizzato del magistrato ucciso da un'autobomba in via D'Amelio insieme ai cinque uomini della sua scorta." Scrive la Repubblica.
Già qui ci dobbiamo fermare per una rettifica di una quindicina di metri: la macchia rossa era sotto una Citroen bianca, accanto a quel che resta del corpo martoriato di Emanuela Loi e ad un cartone parasole, di quelli che si mettono sul cruscotto delle auto in estate per non trovare il volante e i sedili bollenti. Fosse stata l'agenda di Paolo, ci chiediamo come, dopo l'esplosione, possa essere finita in direzione opposta a quella del giudice. Ma probabilmente è un altra la domanda che bisognava farsi prima di questa. Soprattutto avrebbero dovuto farlsela i giornalisti che hanno deciso di pubblicare gli articoli sopra menzionati: quella macchia rossa, poteva davvero essere simile all'agenda rossa di Paolo Borsellino?
Noi ce lo siamo chiesti e in pochi minuti il mistero era risolto.
Utilizzando il video originale che ha usato la Repubblica per il suo "scoop" abbiamo estrapolato e rallentato alcuni momenti, in cui possiamo comparare le misure di un piede, di un parasole (sbalzato fuori probabilmente da un auto in sosta dopo che l'esplosione ne ha frantumato i vetri) e di questa macchia rossa (che probabilmente è parte del parasole).
La scarpa di un uomo medio, ha una lunghezza di circa 28/32 cm circa. Certo, se fosse quella di un bambino o di una persona con piedi molto piccoli la misura può essere parecchio minore. Quindi non diamo per certa questa misura. Il Parasole invece ha delle misure standard.
Questo in particolare è diviso in 8 coste. Si può capire dal fatto che, nella costa centrale dove si crea una fessura per lo specchietto retrovisore, c'è la lettera "D". Nella prima costa c'è la lettera "M" e nelle altre 2, prima del centro, le lettere "O" ed "N" a comporre probabilmente la parola "MONDIALE" (magari quello del '90).
Abbiamo trovato un parasole a 8 coste del tutto simile. Le misure delle coste erano di circa 15 cm. Misura per altro compatibile con la metà della misura di un piede normale (28/32 cm dicevamo).
L'oggetto rosso rettangolare, quindi, accostato al parasole (di cui probabilmente fa parte), nella parte corta può essere lungo 9/10 cm al massimo.
L'agenda di Paolo misurava all'incirca 21x28 cm, quindi non un poco più grande, ma grande più del DOPPIO.
Come è possibile che i giornalisti che hanno pubblicato questi articoli fuorvianti e depistanti, non abbiano fatto la piccola, ma assolutamente necessaria, verifica che abbiamo fatto noi?
The finding of Paolo Borsellino's red diary: a fake scoop
The mystery of the Red Diary has been solved! Sure, staying on what La Repubblica and Il Giornale published. According to them it was right beside judge Paolo Borsellino's body.
“Instead of showing interest and hope for the discovery of a video that had been stored in an archive, which captures the image of the lost << Red Diary>> that had belonged to Paolo Borsellino, under a car in D'Amelio street (immediately following the massacre of July 19th 1992) defiant militant professionals of antimafia are all in a hurry to arouse doubt and skepticism.” Writes Il Giornale.
“ The Red Diary was exactly where it should have been. On the ground, intact, beside the burnt body of the magistrate killed by a car bomb in D'Amelio Street together with his five bodyguards.” Writes La Repubblica.
And this is where we have to stop and rectify by about fifteen meters: the red spot was under a white Citroen, next to what remained of Emanuela Loi's mutilated body and a cardboard sunshade, the kind you use on the dashboard of a car in the summer to avoid your seats and your steering wheel from burning up. Had that been Paolo's diary one can't help but wonder how it ended up in the opposite direction from him, following the explosion. However, prior to this dilemma, there's a far more important question that should have been asked. It probably should have been addressed by the journalists who decided to write the articles mentioned above: could that red spot really be similar to
Paolo Borsellino's red diary?
Well, we asked ouselves the question, and in just a few minutes the mystery was solved.
By viewing the original video that had been used by Repubblica for their “scoop” we extracted and slowed down certain moments, moments in which we were able to compare the size of a foot, of a sunshade ( that had most likely been jerked out of a parked car after the explosion had broken it's windows) as well as of the red spot ( which is probably just a part of the sunshade itself).
A medium sized man's shoe measures about 28/32 cm. However if it were a child's shoe or a shoe belonging to someone with a very small foot it could measure a lot less. For this reason we cannot give our measurement as certain. On the other hand though, a sunshade has standard sizes.
This particular shade is divided into 8 sections. One can easily see this by observing the center part of the element, precisely where a space for the rearview mirror is cut out. In that space there is a letter “ D” . In the first section of the shade there is the letter “ M “ and, in the other two, before the center part, one can observe the letters “ O “ and “ N “. They most likely composed the word “ MONDIALE “ ( referring to the 1990 world soccer championship).
We looked for and found a very similar sunshade. It was divided into 8 sections of approximately 15 cm each. About half the size of a normal man's foot ( 28/32 cm as we said before).
The short end of the red rectangular object, near the sunshade ( which it is probably simply a part of) cannot be longer than 9/10 cm at the most.
Paolo's diary measured about 21x28 cm. Therefore it was not just a little larger, it was double the size.
How can it be that the jounalists who published these misleading and deceptive articles, did not ask themselves the same elementary but absolutely necessary question we asked ourselves?
